Meet our Governors

Elaine Hedgecock- Chair of Governors

Elaine Hedgecock

Elaine has recently retired as a HR Director for a UK charity. Prior to this she ran her own consultancy business for over thirty years, specialising in management development. She has been a Governor for fourteen years and a chair for half that time, first of all in a secondary school where her daughter was a pupil and then in a primary school. She believes that good primary education enables children to become effective learners if they feel safe and have good teachers.
Elaine is also the Chair of Governors at Highlees Primary School in Westwood.

Mark Edwards- Vice Chair of Governors

mark-edwards

“I have been the finance director at Smiths Motor Group for 8 years producing annual accounts as well as monthly management accounts with relevant key performance indicators which are reviewed on a monthly basis with the management team. Prior to joining Smiths, I worked as a consultant for the accounting side of a computer system that is specific to the motor trade, this involved setting up the systems, training staff to use new systems as well as managing the change from one system to another.

I live in Grantham with my wife and we have two boys, 15 and 12.”
